Actually I've never paid much attention on what makes a good school name but now that you mention about it I realize how important this aspect can be since some names sound more trustful than other. In my case the Northwestern State name gives me a high level of confidence.
I don't think it's wrong especially if you had a history with that video game and if the name is an established one. I know couples that have been tempted by this, some friends actually looked on a beat battles forum for some suggestions.
I don't think there is a rule in choosing a baby name, after all we are all free to pick any name. Still I value the meanings of baby names so I rather guide myself in this direction. Putting a baby name because it's in trend doesn't really makes sense to me, the name is representative for the baby, it's like a life long feature, what do trends have to do with that?
I am too late for that Baby Name Pool contest but I am very interested on the issue. I am about to be a mother in two months and I haven't come with a baby name yet. My pregnancy is right on schedule and I don't want to know the sex of my baby. I would really like to take a look on those book editions, do they come with name significance or etymology?
