oh, fun game! my siblings would be: clifford, burton, james, marian and sandra. i would be ellen.
NAMG- I second Aster/Astrid with Orion! I also really like the Paloma suggestion. Helena might be my favorite from your list, though! Amy3- LOVE, love love Solveig! Its at the top of my list.
For those interested in the Danish naming system-- Naming Act in English: http://www.familiestyrelsen.dk/4/english/the-danish-act-on-names/ Naming Rules (in Danish) but the Google toolbar can translate to English: http://www.familiestyrelsen.dk/navne/5/ Part way down the page you can click on "Navnelister" or "Namelist". The first option ("Godkendte drengefornavne") is boynames. The second ("Godkendte pigefornavne") is girl names.
Miranda- I really like Inez! I think it is refreshing but familiar. A little exotic, in a good way. Adopting Again- I think Noble goes very well with Amelia. Jealous that you have a family connection to it Patricia- A friend just named her baby D. and it was well received! An unexpected choice with her Sophie and Madalyn. I for one would be sad if the board changed. I love being able to see all the discussions happening and would miss reading through it each morning!
KVS- would simplifying it to Annabel help out with your husband at all? or do you like the belle ending?
Month: November (Nova) (g) Day: Sunday (g) Season: Winter (Winnie) (g) Holiday: Magdalena (g)/ Caspar (b) Flower: Poppy (g) Gem: Jasper (b)
hyz-- ooh! i love her blog. and i think the kids names are a great set.
i think sinclair was orginially saint clair. not exactly st. john, but the same idea.
hyz- I know a Welsh Anthea prn. AN-thee-ah.
I would either go with Merrett--Rett or Merritt--Rhett. A nickname seems like a better place to use a made-up name.
what are some ways to get "kit" other than katherine?
Lilou is the French nickname for Liliane!
I loooove Cecelia. Not crazy about Marie, but it's so common as a middle name it feels like the characters could have chosen it after a mom, aunt, sister, etc. Not too trendy, very realistic.
ErinW- both are beautiful names, but for me the possibility of having to do a third A name would stop me. What about Jillian Adeline or Jillian Adelaide?
Do you call Annabelle by her full name or does she have a nickname?
i am a sarah and my grandma has always called me sarahbella, though my middle name is michelle. i also get saree and suri as affectionate family nicknames. clarabelle doesn't seem like a stretch to me!
