On a similar note, I notice that boy variations of Miley also rose: Miles (up 22), Myles (up 33), and Milo (up 91)
I really like the name Miley, but I hadn't heard it until Miley Cyrus came along. I heard it came from her nickname, Smiley, when she was little. I wouldn't want to name my own child that, even though I really like it, just because of how it is tied completly to her. Maybe as a nickname. Actually I like the name Marlow . . . with Marley or Miley as a nickname. Marley, by itself made the list at 146 and mangled Marlie 912 and so did mangled Mylee 433 and Mylie 836.
I know a Siri who lives in Minneapolis, MN. It is pronounced Sear-i . . . Sear as in Sears. Her sister is named Meta, pronounced Mate-a. Both are in their early 20's. I think Siri is a cute name. It does remind me a lot of Suri and sounds more like a nickname. I don't like Sigrid though . . . it makes me think of a brutish viking woman, lol. That might just be me though.
I have a cousin named Jillissa --- not sure on the spelling. It's pronounced like Jill + Melissa. Not sure if it was meant to be a compound or if it has differnt origins.
My name is Molly and my sister's is Mary --- my name is the pet name of my sister's. We also both have Elizabeth for a middle name.
