-I personally love the name Braxton. I heard it for the first time in 2003 during an episode of the reality show, The Simple Life. It was the name of a cute little boy of the family that Paris and Nicole were staying with (the Ledings). It has stuck with me ever since and I continue to love it.

Sounds like you named your kid after your Braxton Hicks contractions. To me, it says "Oh, I'm about to go into labor, and we still don't have a name. Oh! I just had a Braxton Hicks contraction. Let's call him Braxton!" So lazy.

We are expecting a boy. We love the name Braxton, but our last name is Hicks, and if we named our son Braxton, it would sound a little bit ridiculous.
