We named our first son Cayden. I liked it at first, but now that he's growing up I can't help but obsess over how boyish it sounds. Picturing him, say in his 50's, with the name Cayden...it's just not manly sounding. That, and the fact that there are so many Haydens, Braydens, and Aidans in his nursery classes. The rhyming gets annoying.
And Jaydens . . . but cheer up, when all the babies with these names grow up and get old, these names will be considered "old man's names" and nobody will name their sons these names any more. And when you hear any of these names, you will immediately think "an old man in his 50's or older - a grandpa name"!
My brothers name is Cayden. I love it for him. He is so sweet and sensitive, and he is the most caring guy I know. He'd give the shirt off his back at a seconds notice for a stranger. The name fits him well, even into adulthood.
- Personal experiences with the name Cayden
My new grandson is Cayden. It is a very popular name and I think there will be a few others with the same name in his class as he grows up. Too trendy for my liking.

You can rustle up an Irish origin for Caden, but this name's popularity is about pure sound. You simply cannot get a more fashionable set of phonemes, and the nickname Cade is a winner too. But an entire classroom of rhyming boys is a real risk here. Caden, meet Hayden, Aidan, Jadon, and Braeden.... Each name has multiple spellings in the top 1000 list.
