Dieter Rams (b. 1932). Rams is a German industrial designer known for a design philosophy captured by the phrase "Less, but Better." As design director for Braun, Rams created a range of appliances found in the collections of various museums (e.g. MoMA in New York, The Design Museum in London and the Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt). He is also seen as the principal influence behind Jonathan Ive's work for Apple.
