We named our son Elliott Charles. He is a happy, fun-loving, and very active little guy, and the name Elliott suits him to a T. It's the perfect name for a little boy but also works for an adult. The only trouble we have had is with the spelling. People always write his name as "Elliot" with a single T, but we chose two T's. We don't know any other children with his name, so it seems somewhat unique but it isn't unheard of or bizarre. I love his name!
We also have an Elliott with two T's. I think it's better looking than one L, one T, but two L's and one T seems the most popular. Our last name has double T's, and they kind of go together :)
- Personal experiences with the name Elliott
This was the last name of some distant grandmother in my family, and it's latest iteration is William Elliott X. Don't freak, he's not the tenth in line, he's the sixth, but the numbers got screwed up and the geneology was confused when he was born, and since my dad's been the sixth for forty years my parents decided not to mess with it once they got it straightened out. Apparently, the name/numbering skipped a generation and confused everyone. Although I do sometimes wonder if my brother's first son will be the seventh or the eleventh...
-AlexI have a brother named Elliott. My parents decided that one 'L' and one 'T' just wasn't right! So two 'L's and two 'T's. That's the way he likes it!
