- Comments and insights on the name Isaac
Isaac is a somewhat common, extremely handsome, playful, classic, original, young, masculine name for a baby boy. Pronounced I-zik.
Too old-fashioned for my taste.
Casia and Isaac are anagrams of each other; they share the same letters.
- Personal experiences with the name Isaac
My son is named Isaac, and I've discovered the name is prone to misspelling. (Even check out the section on famous Isaacs on Namipedia!) People know some letter is double d, but pronunciation doesn't give them a clue to which one. Doubling the S rather than the A is the main error, but my son's Sunday School teacher once spelled it ISSACC.

I also name my son Isaac and have had a few people misspell it. But over all the little guy is only 2 and is exactly like what his name means, laughter. My husband like the name because it sounds strong and suitable for a boy and a man.

My son is named Isaac too. Family often forgot which was doubled S or A. So I said try to remember if the S is doubled it would be soft, Iss-ack. This seemed to help them.

My name is Isaac and when I was younger my Mom taught me a way to spell my name it goes like this: Isaac's Shirt has two Arms and one Collar: I-S-AA-C

My parents named me Isaac and I can confirm that for some reason people like to duplicate the S rather than the A. I'm actually surprised when I meet someone who doesn't misspell it. But I got used to it pretty quick and don't even mind anymore, because even though it's apparently on the rise I find it a nice unique name, and you can't beat the meaning :)

My uncle's name is Isaac. Back in February 2016, I was in the Junior Forensic League (JFL), and he was one of my judges. Little did I know at the time that was against the rules. Now when I see him, I just stare at him, waiting for him to ask, "What did I do?" I'll look at him and say, "You know very well what, Isaac." Then he'll realize and laugh. He definitely lives up to his name when we do that!
My name is Isaac - Isaac
My oldest son's name is also Isaac. He was born in 2002 and the name fits him well! He is fun loving and handsome, imo. He doesn't have a nickname, never liked to options there. Many people misspell it including his Grandparents. They are hispanic and spell it Issac(Esock). Despite the few downfalls, it's a wonderful, strong name!
