Personal experiences with the name Ruffin

My husband's great grandfather was Ruffin Abraham and his son, my husband's grandfather, was David Ruffin. They are from Texas and Arkansas, other than that I don't know anything about the origin of the name. We just named our first-born son Ruffin James and I think it's a very strong, masculine name. Love it!
