Simeon and Simone are anagrams of each other; they contain the same letters.
Though I love the biblical Simeon, I admit my husband and I are always tripped up by the fact that it has the same pronunciation as "simian" (ape-like).
Love this name! It's unusual and biblical and I like it better than Simon. My son is named Simeon after his great great grandfather (and many Simeons before him). It often gets mispronounced as Simon, and some children misheard it as "cinnamon", which was more adorable than anything. We call him Sim most of the time and I have no regrets about choosing this name for him!
