- Personal experiences with the name Wesley
My husband and I named our first son Wesley. We had three choices: Wesley, Aidan, and Garrett. At his birth, we decided on Wesley and so far, we've received a lot of positive comments. It is uncommon and Wes is a great nickname. It suits him perfectly!
My dad's name is Wesley. I love his name. I like that it is uncommon and that I meet so few people with that name.
My 7 week old son is named Wesley. We call him Wes. I love that his name is easy to spell and pronounce, but pretty uncommon. I didn't want him to have the same name as five other kids in his class! His name is perfect for him, and it goes well with his big sister's name (Vivian). Some people have asked if I got the idea from the character in the Princess Bride, but I've actually loved the name since the character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
I chose this as a middle name for my son, though I love it as a first name too. The name goes very well with Ryan and Kyle. I ended up naming my son "Ryan Wesley".
