My name is Allene. I was named after my grandmother, who was named after her grandmother so I am the third in my family. My parents gave me the nn "Alle" (pronounced Allie). Honestly, I have not enjoyed having this name, although i LOVE having a unique name...it is very difficult for people. I get called Allen or Eileen. People think i'm a weirdo for spelling my nn Alle because they don't know that its short for Allene and assume my real name is Allison.
