- Personal experiences with the name Angèle
This is my daughter's name and we are over the moon with it. Some family members had an initial tough time pronouncing it (Helpful: "it's kind-of like 'hair gel'--say 'on-gel.' and it worked to tutor people to the correct way of saying it) and she was promptly nicknamed "Angie" which also suits her, but my husband and I LOVE her name. Doctor offices frequently call her "Angel" (They Americanize it I suppose) or "Ann-jel-ee" but then we default to Angie. We also happen to have another daughter named Nadia
