- Personal experiences with the name Anita
I have an aunt named Anita. I think the name would be a lot more popular today if we didn't associate it with women from her generation. It still sounds good!
SO WHAT GENERATION IS THAT???
Anita bonita, Anita mamcita
My name is Anita and I love it. I have only ever met two other Anita's before and one of them was spelt Annita. I believe a person will make a name special. They don't become special from having a particular name. I feel special that I have so many nick names people use for my name and feel comfortable calling me "Neet" or "neety" after knowing me only a short while. The nickname used amongst my closest friends is "Anitapee". Using the name Anita i'd suggest a middle name with fewer syllables for example mine is Rochelle Only one less syllable than my first name but still it helps to balance it out.
Anita is a fine name, as long as your last name isn't Johnson!
