I have a daughter named Atlanta, she is now 37. She loves her name, she was teased, given nicknames of atl, lana, mylanta (by elderly aunts) but also given lots of compliments on her name. I was a jr in hs when i had her (tough times), and i wanted her to have a name she could be proud of and that no one else had. I raised her to be strong, loving, compassionate, funny, and giving, she is all that and more. She is also an awesome mom! Those of you who don't like your name are crazy, it's beautiful! Be proud of it, own it! God bless you.

I am 19 years old and my name is Atlanta Marie Hope Clevinger (now Wilson) I would not recommend anyone naming their child Atlanta growing up I was called Hotlanta ATL all of which I hated and numerous of times told that my name sounded like a stripper stage name so please people be smart with your choices if you want a unique name for your child, however it's kind of cool knowing that other people share this name with me I've never met another Atlanta or even heard of one until now(:
