- Comments and insights on the name Caila
I had my daughter, Caila, in 1986. We liked "Kayla", but I didn't like the name "Kay" which I knew she would be nicknamed. Just so happened an elderly lady in our church spelled her name "Caila". I immediately fell in love with the spelling and used it. Now my daughter's school friends still called her "Kay" and "Kay-Kay", but I still love the spelling. "Caila" often times gets confused as "Carla" on paper, but that has never been a big problem. She gets many compliments on her name and I love it now just as much as I did when she was born.
- Personal experiences with the name Caila
A girl I new growing up was named Caila, which confused me a lot because I always wanted to spell it "Kayla" because it sounds exactly the same. Now when I look back at the name, I really find it a creative way of spelling a common name.
