I am probably one of the oldest people with this name in the US since records show it started in the 60's and I was born early 60's. I don't mind correcting people on the correct way to speak the name. What I mind is that in the English language a CH followed by a consonant and a vowel would always have a hard CH sound, not sh. So why do they always mess that up. They name as described in anther comment in easiest said, Charity remove the T sound. Clear as mud
