I had never heard this name before....In fact I thought I had made it up. When My daughter, DaeLynn was born....I named her after her dad...Dale and myself, Marilyn...creating the name DaeLynn. I have always thought it fit her to a T. Very original...several girls have been named after her.
I also had thought that I had created this name. I simply wanted a female version of the name Dale.- Kestrel78
I also thought the same and wasn't thinking Dale. I don't like bringing anything but I was looking for a name for my dog. What better to make one up.
My thought, is how did you come about it, if it is more unigue than its origin, well maybe you didn't make up the word but the definition is yours. For me up t came from the letters in Brindle, with some agreements and exchanges, exchange B and with A. And reform the letters. It's a stretch, but. Then have to think , do I want to call her Daelyn? Probably not and am revising original thought of Ember. Daelyn is a nice name regardless of origin.
