Personal experiences with the name Dayne

When my daughter was born the name i had originally chosen did not seem to "fit". My mind was a blank as far as names and it was time to leave the hospital (there was a LOT of pressure to choose a name before leaving). My ex-husband took the name form and put my name on it (which is Day) I did not want a Day II or Day Jr. Because they said i could not cross the name out on the legal form and would not give me a new form, I just added the "ne" and made her name Dayne.

Dayne is my brother's name. My mom got it from The Thornbirds, but changed the spelling to match my dad's middle name which is Wayne.
