- Personal experiences with the name Domini
My name! Also the name of someone my mother went to school with (1950's England) and have found a few more examples but not many. Always causes a double-take and even when you spell it correctly on forms etc. people STILL send letters with it spelled wrong!
Many assume my child is a boy when they hear the name. Other people can't seem to get over the fact there is no "que" at the end of Domini's name and think I must be making a mistake when I call my daughter, "Domini." People have also been known to struggle with pronunciation simply because the name stops at the, "i."
