My daughter's name is Giovanna- my husband is Italian and we pronounce it "Joh-VAN -na" because the Gi in Italian is pronounced "J". When my daughter was two, she started calling herself "Gigi" and we think it's a wonderful nickname until she grows into her full name! She is a joy and we are so thankful to have her!
My name is Giovanna we pronounce it G-Oh-Va-Na. I prefer to be called by Gio, Gi, GG, etc.
