- Comments and insights on the name Jacquelyn
This name is so classical, elegant, and extravagant. It has been liked throughout my family, my mom liked it as she was growing up, my sister had her turn with it, and it is stuck on me! I prefer this spelling to the traditional "-line" because it flows more, adds a touch of class, and indifference. The nickname Jackie (I like Jacqui for the uniqueness) is what bored me of the name. I had heard of so many other Jackies around town that it began to lose its luster. The name is now vastly dwindling as it seems to have timed out (the NameVoyager showed me that).
- Personal experiences with the name Jacquelyn
I love my name. It is familiar yet not too popular, especially with the alternate spelling of "Jacquelyn". It has a elegant sound that is pleasant with a number of surnames, whether short or long. The up-strokes of the J and L with the down-strokes of the Q and Y offer a pleasant and balanced visual when written. I have only come across a few others who share my name, but no one yet (in person) who share this spelling. The name, any way it is spelt, seems to give off a sophisticated, confident, strong yet still feminine feeling.
