I would have been joe if I were born a boy. I wasn't, but people when they hear my name before they've met me wonder my gender which i find quite funny. I feel as though it's quite a strong name.
If it's spelled with an "i" or "ie", there should be no mistaking it for a boy's name. If it's spelled with a "y", then you have to wonder.
I really like Jodi for a girl. It's a cute, spunky name.
