- Personal experiences with the name Joslin
My name is Joslin Brooks. I have always loved my name and never met anyone with this spelling. It is our family name, my mother's maiden name (which she kept) and will be the middle name of my little girl (due in August). I was born in 1981 and have met two other Jocelyn's in my life thus far. The name has always suited me, I'm a strong willed, creative, and intelligent person, and believe my name captures all of that. Growing up I was called Jos, or Jossy. I like that it is a two syllable name instead of the traditional three with the alternate spelling. While my name is unique it is easily pronounceable and not too out there. To be honest, if it didn't feel so conceited, I would name my daughter Joslin as well.
