Comments and insights on the name Justine

Feminine version of the name JUSTIN.
My name is Justine Tara and i hated my name for the longest time because everybody would call me Justin and everybody in class would laugh. I have grown fond of my name because there are not many of us and i loved being the only Justine in the school. The only bad thing was when i got in trouble or heard someone talking about me i couldn't blame it on someone else.

Personal experiences with the name Justine

Jennifer Justine here. Born in the height of the Jennifer fad I love my middle name. I share it with my grandmother who was named for her father, you guessed it Justin. So in addition to it being a family name, Justine made my Jennifer name just a bit more unique. And, now that my husband and I are expecting while a boy name is up for debate, he knew coming into this that I had very strong feelings for a girl and any other choice would have to be pretty compelling name. I love its uniqueness without being off the wall. And personally, I love that if we have a daughter it will connect her through four generations! Her great great grandfather Justin, her great grandmother Justine, her grandmother Lisa Justine, me and then her.

I named my girl/boy twins Erin Justine and Justin Eric - they love their names

My name is Justine Lindsay. I hated it growing up... People called me Justin and kids would laugh at me. I never had a substitute teAcher be able to say my name. Now as an adult I LOVE my name... But I don't think I fit the name. Justine sounds like the name of a shy, nice, intellectual, hippie girl. I'm the exact opposite. But I
Love the uniqueness and gets lots of compliments. Although several people told me it's hard on the mouth for them to say it... Whatever that means.

I used to hate my name. I hated correcting people about it. I was always called Justin. My name is Justine Nichole and I love my name now. Even though now I go to an all girls Catholic high school. I have been called Justin once or twice. Someone mentioned below that they were called Justin at graduation. Secretly, I am fearing that. (: But, I am the only Justine in school so if someone talks about me. I know.

I used to dislike my name but as I've grown older I have learnt to love it. My name is unique and although its is hard to find personalised things, I dont mind because unique is cool. My name is Justine Marie and I noticed another person with the same name below! I love finding other people with the same name as mine, it feels really strange when I do because there aren't many! I was the only Justine in my school which is nice because people immediately know who it is! :-) I was named after the character in The Thorn Birds, never seen it but clearly my mum liked it!

I love my name. I've always been the only Justine in school. Having a name with the spelling so close to "Justin" it often gets mispronounced. I've gotten used to it by now, especially since my middle name is Jordan! You can tell from my full name, my parents really wanted a boy!

My name is Justine Ryan. I hated it when I was younger, but it is nice to be one of a kind in my school. Its hard to find cute personalized items that say Justine. But it is nice having a unique name.

I love having the name Justine Marie, because it's unique. At the same time, I can't stand people misreading or mispronouncing my name as Justin. At my high school graduation, I was called Justin Marie. Not cool.

I named my daughter Emica Justine. Her father's name is Justin, it is an allusion to a saint name (I'm Catholic), and my mother got my first name from the book 'The Thornbirds'; the main character, Meghann, names her first-born daughter 'Justine'. It's kind of poetic, in a way!

There are two or three little Justines (one is spelled Justyne) in my young cousins' Catholic school. It does seem like a very 'Catholic' name to me. I've liked the name since I was a little girl and thought Justine Bateman was the coolest. I'd probably use it as a middle name. Justina is also nice.
