My daughter's name is Kassandra, she really only goes by Kassey. She has a few other nicknames Kasserfrass being the main one. Kassandra is a very smart, creative, beautiful, loving child. I named both my girls "K" names because both my parents’ names start with the letter "K."
I have not met any other Kassandra's spelt the same way or even with a "K" :)- Personal experiences with the name Kassandra
My name is Kassandra and I love it. When I was little I hated it and I got really mad if anyone called me by it, but now I love it, even though I'm still not often called by it. Even though this wasn't intended, my grandmother's name is Sandra, so for me, it makes me feel special. My middle name is Lee too, so its Kassandra Lee, the Lee gives it more of a stronger feel to me, while Kassandra is still very feminine.
I'm 24 and my name is Kassandra and I love it. I especially love that it's spelt with a K and not a C. Growing up my mum always called me Kassandra and told everyone else to call me that also, so I didn't really get to play around with nicknames, but now I'm older I like to be called Kass, but I go by Kassandra mainly as it's so long and elegant. People have trouble spelling my name and they always ask me if I'm like the Greek Cassandra, but I don't mind, I always tell them yes because I think she was pretty cool. Kassandra is a strong and intelligent name. I would never change it.

In Greek mythology, Cassandra (Greek: Κασσάνδρα, "she who entangles men"1; also known as Alexandra2) was the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy. Her beauty caused Apollo to grant her the gift of prophecy. However, when she did not return his love, Apollo placed a curse on her so that no one would ever believe her predictions.
