as I was born in the late 80'S everyone asks where you named after the song ? of course I was the name was nigh on non existent before marillion throw it out their and then they generally persist to sing that bloody song .
My best friend is Kayleigh her nickname is K or KK:D
My daughter is Kayleigh in the USA also named after the Marillion song. She was born in the early 90’s and her father and myself really love Marillion as a prog band and thus, Kayleigh arrived. As our last name begins with K, she has also become a KK. She is beautiful and talented. She’s an accomplished musician and artist. She’s also an RN, a runner, cat lover, knowledge seeker and has a wisdom beyond her years (except when it comes to men). She’s already a world traveler and her comment about Ireland was “it’s the only time they spelled my name correctly on my coffee” which is quite funny. She’s also an excellent camper and explorer. She enjoys adventure and meeting new people from all walks of life. She’s truly an amazing person. I wish all of you could meet her. Hey - and don’t knock the Kayleigh song - it’s part of an amazing album - you just have to listen to the entire album and not just the one song, as the album tells a story.
