I read in a book many years ago that Leola was an American Indian Prarie Flower , but have never found that information again. Hope someone could back that info up for me!

HI, my mother was named Leola; it was a family name in her mother's family. Her mother also said Leola was a Native American name; this is probably in the Muscogee CREEK language. The lived is west Georgia, probably Heard county, then in Randolph County, Alabama. However, i never heard a specific meaning for the name.
