I have loved this name ever since I was, oh, I dunno, seven? But sadly, it's also the name of the infamous kid from Israel who destroyed MySpace, Wikipedia, and various other famous websites. Now, my favorite name is Marcella. I'm too afraid that if I name my child Magdalene, it will remind people of this horrible Internet vandal.
