I wasn't very fond of my name as a child due to the teasing, plus, you wouldn't believe how many people mispronounce it! Does Mer-SUH-Dees or Mer-SAW-Dees sound like a real name to anyone? It doesn't to me... haha I've grown to appreciate it's originality as an adult though, very unique with a different way of spelling, I always receive compliments along with the occasional "Do you drive a Mercedes?" to which I can respond,"That's not my name, it's spelled M-E-R-S-A-D-E-S!" :D
