- Personal experiences with the name Muriel
We had a family friend growing up who was named Muriel and lived to be 96. I only knew her at the end of her life but she was vivacious and always ready with a big smile. She was born circa 1900 in Georgia as one of many many children but moved out in her early twenties to live in New York. She was always independent and loved learning new things, even getting a computer in her late 80's and teaching herself how to use it. I will always remember her kindness, sincerity, and quick wit!
