- Personal experiences with the name Rae
My middle name and I love it! My first name is Anna and I am sometimes called Anna Rae by some family members. I got it from my Dad whose middle name is Ray (his dad's first name was Raymond) which is also my older brother's middle name. I've passed it down to my first born daughter who I've named Gracie Rae. It's a great, versatile name!

I know there is a male version page of this name, which surprised me. I've never seen it used for males in my personal life.
I have done research and historically, males only had this spelling if the parents didn't know how to spell; this spelling is only given to females.- Famous real-life people named Rae
