- Personal experiences with the name Reba
I was named after my mother's maiden name 'Riba', pronounced the same as 'Reba' just spelled differently. I have always liked my name - though sometimes it has given me some headaches. I have gotten 'Oh, It's Reba McEntire.", "Reba, so can you sing?", or (insert 'Reba McEntire' reference here) a lot throughout my childhood and it gets old really quick. But all and all, I wouldn't change my name. It has made me stand out in a world of Kaitlins, Megans, Alyssas, and any other popular name.
