I have two friends named Ryann and Ryanne. Ryann pronounces it ryan and Ryanne pronounces it rye-anne. Both of their names get confused a lot. I love both names, just know that people won't get it on the first try.
I hated my name when I was little because it was unusual and made me stand out from the crowd. Now that I am a little older I love it for the same reasons. It has lent itslef to many unusual nicknames like Rye Bread or Rye Toast which I don't mind because who else is going to answer when someone screams "Toast!" No one can pronounce it, I usually am called Re-anne or Renee when people read the name and when spoken it is often confused with Ryan, Fran, Diane, and many other similiar sounding names, but when people finally do get it, everyone says its beautiful and unique and I know two people who have used it for their children because they liked it so much.
I named my youngest daughter Ryanne I had never heard it before. I am an only child and my cousin Ryan is the closest thing I have to a brother. So I used his first name and my mothers middle name is Ann and came up with it. She loves her name its different from other girls. I think its what makes her one of a kind and unique.
My name is Ryanne and probably like most people, having this name as a girl has been a journey. When I was younger I got made fun of a lot, even now, as being 19, I still get weird looks when I'm at Starbucks or wherever and they ask for my name and I say 'Ryan' (that's how I pronoun my name) and all I get is the blank face in return. It doesn't bother me anymore. I've grown to love the name a lot actually. Yes, sometimes it's hard to always have to spell it out or fix the pronunciation for others, but it comes with the name, and that's what makes it unique. I would love to meet more girls with the name, I've only met two, one spelled it Ryan and the other spelled it Ryann. But I like the E at the end... It's a little something extra to it, and it's always fun to see how the next person will attempt to say it :) I hope you found this helpful in picking the name for your child... Hopefully I'll meet more 'Ryan, Ryann, and Ryanne's' out there. :)
