We named our daughter Serafina Rose, 6 months before Ben Affleck and Jen Gardner. Oh well....we love the name and have received many many compliments on her name. Everyone seems to always remember her name - like it just "sticks."
Serafina has been a family name for 3 generations (Italian) and I never saw it anywhere as a child. Lately it has been attached to elegant shoe styles and fabric patterns. Though I didn't appreciated it when I was younger, I am enjoying seeing it more often.
One of my closest friends is named Serafina and I have never met anyone else with that name. Mostly everyone who is friends with he calls her Fina, including me. A few of her other friends call her Sara, which she didn't like at first, but now likes it. She loves her name and says she thinks it fits her well
