I would be interested in knowing when my name (Serenity) started appearing. I looked at a census that seems to think the name started in 1999 but I am a good bit older than that and I know other Serenity's-one or two even older than I am. One is not from the U.S. and the other (of the older ones) lives in Oregon. I know our parents never met (just from our interest in our own name) so where did the idea for the word to become a name start?

Names like yours were very popular, along with other happy emotions (Kharma, Sundance, etc) and nature things (like Heath, Forrest, etc). My daughter's name is serenity (b.2011). Ive had many compliments on her name. Shes pretty, girly and spunky. We call her reny sometimes and shorten it to seren. on text. Love the name!
