2018 Names List
New top 100 dropped, anyone surprised by any of the changes? Anything you just *knew* would move?
For me two British royalty related names jumped out, though only one was actually influenced this past year by the royal family.
Meghan cut its number about in half and jumped back into the top 100, and Archie was in the top 100 for the first time in about 30 years too.

Slightly off topic - I came by to see the chatter about the new list and Laura’s insights on the biggest risers and fallers, and quickly noticed that the blog is dormant. What happened? I used to be a lot more active and was disappointed to see everything so quiet here now.
yes very quiet, seems to be just mainly spammers posting of late
Laura has a new site, and she has a couple of posts already about the new list! https://namerology.com/
Please come over to the new site! The company that hosts this site seems to be having severe financial difficulty and the spam is starting to take over.

Thanks! I’ll see you all over there.
Oops, I meant top 1,000 for both of those 100 up there!
My DD's name and others that were popular during its highest usage (1900s) have come back to the Top 1000 since about 1940. So I'd say the century/great-grandparents rule still looks like a decent rule of thumb.
I'm considering schooling some anti-Dany people (males) on r/asoiaf and predicting that Sansa usage will continue to rise. 27 in 2018, so I'm thinking at least double in 2019. ;-)
I like the name Paviomod .
