A Nymbler Name Game
Ok, I didn't make this up but I don't remember where it came from.
We are going to collectively name a sib set of 12 using Nymbler.
I'll start with a name, the next person types it in to Nymbler and chooses a sibling name from the suggestions.
The 3rd person has to type in the two previous names and choose a name from the suggestions.
Ready? Your starting name is...
Clay.

and Nikolai (b).
I feel a need to point out that Mariska really doesn't fit this set at all. Wrong language. It needs to be something more like Malusha to fit the rest of the siblings.
You really absolutely can't have Anya and Mariska in the same sibset. Mariska is a Hungarian diminutive of Mary. In Hungarian, anya is "mom, mother, mommy."
Well, as the person who added Mariska, I will say that I knew it was Hungarian of course but was imagining maybe a Ukranian/Hungarian cross-border romance, and thought it generally fit the set in terms of tone/feel otherwise, especially with Anya immediately preceding it and also being a pet form of a classic name. Now, I did not know the meaning of Anya in Hungarian, so I guess that would change things--and nobody else ran with the cross-border romance thing, so I guess it stands out even more at the end than when I initially wrote it. But really, I just love the name, and when I saw Nymbler suggest it I couldn't resist. :)
We'll start the next round with...
Eldred (b).
Eldred (b) and Hayward (b)
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), and Alvina (g)
Hmm, Nymbler is kind of all over the place with this set. I'll go with:
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), and Lovisa (g)
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g),
and Rowland (b)
I really have no idea what to make of this sibset.
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g), Rowland (b), and Wilda (g).
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g), Rowland (b), Wilda (g) and Una (g)
I was about to go with Alford when I realised it was a bit too close to Alvina.
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g), Rowland (b), Wilda (g) Una (g), and Hertha (g)
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g), Rowland (b), Wilda (g) Una (g), Hertha (g),
and Dorwin (b)
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g), Rowland (b), Wilda (g) Una (g), Hertha (g), Dorwin (b),
and Berton (b)
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g), Rowland (b), Wilda (g) Una (g), Hertha (g), Dorwin (b), Berton (b),
and Corliss (g).
Eldred (b), Hayward (b), Alvina (g), Lovisa (g), Rowland (b), Wilda (g) Una (g), Hertha (g), Dorwin (b), Berton (b), Corliss (g), and Oren (b).
Next...
Eleri (g)
Eleri (g) and Evander (b)
Eleri (g) and Evander (b),
and Bethan (g)
Eleri (g) and Evander (b), Bethan (g), and Glyn (b)
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), and Neve (g)
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), Neve (g) and Gawain (b)
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), Neve (g), Gawain (b)
and Lilias (g)
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), Neve (g), Gawain (b), Lilias (g),
and Tavish (b).
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), Neve (g), Gawain (b), Lilias (g), Tavish (b),
and Ione (g).
Bump the nymbler game!!! I'm very confused by this sibset...
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), Neve (g), Gawain (b), Lilias (g), Tavish (b), Ione (g),
and Dougal (b)
I'm not sure what exactly is going on with this family either, other than that they seem to like slightly quirky names.
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), Neve (g), Gawain (b), Lilias (g), Tavish (b), Ione (g), Dougal (b),
and Alys (g).
Eleri (g), Evander (b), Bethan (g), Glyn (b), Neve (g), Gawain (b), Lilias (g), Tavish (b), Ione (g), Dougal (b),
Alys (g), and Eamon (b)
I would say it's pan-Celtic with a strongly Welsh flavor. The first four names are all Welsh, plus Gawain; Neve and Eamon are Anglicized Irish names; Lilias, Tavish and Dougal are Scottish. Ione is Greek, and I think Nymbler messed up on this one—it should have given us Iona, which is the name of an island off the coast of Scotland. Alys is just a medieval spelling of Alice.
As the picker of Ione, I wholly agree. I was looking for Iona or something along those lines, but Ione is what came up, so I picked it.
Next...
Lael (g)
This is the name of my most recent niece - my sister pronounces it LAY-elle.
Lael (g), and Zacc (b)
Lael (g), Zacc (b), and Kaylea (g)
Lael (g), Zacc (b), Kaylea (g),
and Aaren (b)
Lael (g), Zacc (b), Kaylea (g), Aaren (b)
and Alya (g)
Nymbler really wants me to use more Aarons! I've got Ahren, Aaronn, Aaryn, Aharon, Aahron, Ahran, Aronne, Arran, and Aronos!
Lael (g), Zacc (b), Kaylea (g), Aaren (b), Alya (g),
...and I'll go with Jason (b).
(Still better than Kaylee (b). Although I was tempted by Jedi (b).)
Lael (g), Zacc (b), Kaylea (g), Aaren (b), Alya (g), Jason (b)
and Raia (g).
Lael (g), Zacc (b), Kaylea (g), Aaren (b), Alya (g), Jason (b), Raia (g),
and Sarika (g)
I was looking for something with both Hebrew/Arabic and Greek origins so that Jason wouldn't be left out, but I didn't feel like any of the options worked with the overall feel of this very interesting group.
Lael (g), Zacc (b), Kaylea (g), Aaren (b), Alya (g), Jason (b), Raia (g), Sarika (g),
and Jed (b).
An interesting set indeed! Nymbler is all over the place with this one.
