Baby #4

We happily find ourselves in need of another boy name!

So far, my husband has suggested Linus (his favorite since before our first) and Melvin, which I am not totally against and is actually a family name.  Our other three have family names, but our male family names seem to have a lot of Bernards and Freds and Richards (which has a common nickname that is terribly unfortunate with our last name) - none of which I like. I like German names, my husband likes unpopular names.

I would love any ideas you have to share.  I have an old list, but they all feel wrong; starting fresh here.

Thank you!

You could try Frederick, Alaric, Milo, Lothar, Gregor, Garrin, Karl... lots of potentials, can you give example of names from your old list?

How about Marvin? It's the name of a good friend's boy and he's so adorable with his big eyes, black hair and outgoing personality!

I also suggest Oscar, Otto, Viggo, Victor, Yuri, Ivan, Yves, Hugo, Marco, Milo, Xavier, Nico, Julius, Julian, Franco, Frankie, Philip, Caio, Caius, Dexter, Declan...

As for German names, my son's name is Franz, so I love that, as well as Wilhelm, Fritz, Rolf, Ferdinand, klaus, Tobias ( I know several German guys with this name and I find it lovely!) and Sven (not necessarily German, but well-used there).
