I love, love, love Jameson, but it works for our family because my husband's name is J@mes.
My vote would be for Jameson. I tend to like names with some heft, and I think Jameson may age better with your son, both in terms of trends and as he (one day) starts to fill out college applications and resumes.
Jameson just ALWAYS makes me think of the whiskey.. and then I wonder about the parents.. naming their child after whiskey?? lol. So I like Jett better.
I lovet he name Jameson, is hubby & my favorite so far butbwe've jst started brainstorming baby names. I was worried about the whiskey thing too, but I'm pretty sure the whiskey is spelled Jamison, and besides, Jameson is strong enough to stand on its own. I do also like Jett though, much more uncommon, which is something I particularly like in baby names:)
The whiskey is spelled Jameson, not Jamison.
My own preference is Jameson. Jett is a cool nickname, but I tend toward more established names, with nickname potential. it gives more flexibility to the child later on.
That said. Jethro would be a cool option with a nickname of Jett.
But that's just my own taste. Both Jameson and Jett are good, strong names.
