Between 2 Boy Names

So I Have been certain I was going to name my son Connor, painting the letters for his wall, and when I talk to him I say Connor.

But there is a part of me that really wants to name him Samuel

Which one do you think?

Both names are nice, but I like Samuel best! There are many more Connors than Samuels among the youngsters I know - I think we have met three or four Connors already (my daughter is not quite two), but we haven't met a little Samuel yet. Also, I feel like Samuel is more classic and timeless, and so will age well. A Connor will be clearly from this generation.

The poster above might know more Connors in her area, but really Samuel is much more common than Connor.

For 2013: 10,957 baby boys named Samuel versus 7,058 baby boys named Connor.

I also don't think Connor will clearly be from this generation, as it has been ~50th in the rankings in the US since 1993.. so for about 20 years now. That's definitely multiple generations.

FWIW, I like Connor better.

Good luck!

I like Samuel better, but the question is what do you like better.

Ask yourself this-if you use Samuel & not Connor, willl you feel sad about loosing out on Connor?  If you do go with Connor, will you feel sad about not using Samuel?  If the thought of giving up on name makes you feel regret, that's the name you should probably use.

Could you use both names?  Connor Samuel or Samuel Connor are both nice first/middle combinations.

I'm going to name him Connor Solomon. If I ever have another little boy I would like to name him Samuel.

Thank you for your opinions
