Classically Confused

I am pregnant in a few weeks, and I do not know the gender yet. Very excited!

I already have 5 girls, and their names are all kind of classics come back.

Amelia Sydney

Grace Sahara

Elisabeth Savannah

Phoebe Sierra

Charlotte Sicily

Some names we are considering are....

I also need another 's' place middle name.

What do you guys think?

Okay, a quick Google search turned up a few and I've listed my favorites:

Salem, Salina, Sawley, Scott, Sedalia, Severn, Seymour, Shelby, Sheridan, Shiloh, Sigel, Sloan, Surrey, and Sussex.

I will add Spencer, which is a small town in West Virginia where my husband was raised.  :)

Congratulations and good luck!

Sedona, a beautiful resort town here in Arizona--like Sierra it's also the name of a car model

Sonora, the desert here in Arizona which extends down into Mexico, home of the iconic saguaro cactus--I guarantee it's a nicer desert than the Sahara

For a boy, Stamford, a town in Connecticut, and in England the site of the Battle of Stamford Bridge which just preceded the decisive Battle of Hastings

Or one of the place names in St. (St. Louis, St. Paul, St. Lawrence, etc.)  I did know someone whose middle name was St. Lawrence (think John St.L. O'Rourke)

Or Salton for the Salton Sea in California

As for your list of possible first names, somehow I think that Alice would match best with her sisters, although all the choices are fine.  I personally would go Charles, not Charlie, on a birth certificate.  Felix and Oscar, forever the odd couple, seem to go in a different direction from your daughters.  Other boys' names which seem to have a vibe similar to your daughters' names: Frederick, George, James, Edward/Edmund...

I do really like Geroge and James! Thank you!

We have a 7 year-old daughter, Mary Elizabeth.  We still adore her name & have met only two other Marys who are under 10 years old.  So, Mary gets my vote.  I find it hard to suggest place names because I am figuring they are meaningful to you.  Do you already have a MN Savannah?

For boys names, I adore Henry.

Love the beautiful sibling set you have!

My only suggestion at this point (you've gotten great responses on the middles) is that since all 5 girls have their own first initial that you keep that trend so that no one has all three the same initials.

That leaves you with:
Mary or Olivia for girls

Oliver, Henry, Oscar, and Felix for boys.

Of those choices, I think any of the girls' names fits well and Oliver or Henry fit well with your girls (although I love both Oscar and Felix).

Other girl ideas:
Katherine, Felicity, Margaret, Isobel, Iris, Josephine, Madeleine, Naomi, Sarah

Other boy ideas:
Thomas, James, Joseph, Ethan, Evan, Vincent, Frederick, Donovan

Happy naming!

I kinda second the point about same initials. But I do love Alice best out of your picks. My favorite "older" name is Louise/Louisa.

I love Charlie - but since you have a Charlotte, I wouldn't use it. My next favorite from your list is Henry. One of my favorite boy names is Victor.

You have a fine list of names; I like them all. I also like Salem and Shiloh for middles.

Good luck!
