My sister's name is Helena Nicole, so of course I think it works well. Although we use the pronounciation He-LAY-na, rether than Helen-ah, I still think it works either way. I'll also suggest a short, simple middle name-I really like Sage & Claire from your list.

I think Helena Sloane or Helena Claire sounds the best.

I like Helena June of these.

I think it gives a nice soft, simpleness to the elegance of Helena, and it strikes me as being from the right era.

I also like Helena Claire, and while I am not typically a fan of boyish names on girls, I quite like Helena Sloane, which has a Hollywood glam feel for me.

Do you have any family names or names with special importance to consider?

I think June and Rachel go best with Helena's flowiness.

Some other suggestions: Frances, Ivy, Jane, Joyce, Ruth, Martha (too many a's?), Judith, Sophie.

If you want something more romantic: Josephine, Juliet, Charlotte.

I love Helena! Congrats!

I think Helena Claire and Helena Sage are both nice. For Helena, I feel like a one-syllable middle name sounds better. I do love Helena Audrey, though. Some other ideas:

Helena Jane

Helena Kate

Helena Bea

Helena Vale

Helena Elise

Helena June is my favorite. I think a more sweet and short middle will contrast beautifully with Helena, which by the way, is a gorgeous name.

I second the suggestion of Helena Jane and Helena Bea, as Bea is my own name! Helena Mary and Helena Daisy also work well.

Helena June is my favorite and I like all of your single syllable mns.  I do have a flow problem with Helena Audrey, though.  The /uh/ and /ah/ tend to get muddled for me and it turns into Helen Audrey.  Not that it's a huge problem if you love Audrey, but something to be aware of.

Since middle names are so rarely used, I think that slot is a wonderful way to honor someone special.  Is there a family name that is especially fitting or a sentimental favorite?  You can always tweak it too.  I wanted to middle-name my daughter after a beloved grandmother but just didn't like her name much.  I went with a variant of it that I love, and that's worked really well.

I agree.  I would stick with Audrey if it's an honor name.  My sense was you weren't particularly attached to any one middle name yet, so perhaps the flow might influence your decision.
