name for baby brother to Harrison

I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and my husband and I cannot find a name that we both love or agree on! The one thng that we have deicded is that we really like Last Names as first names, classic names that aren't really popular. We have a two and a half year old son named Harrison Alexander. When we heard Harrison we both knew we loved it; but we haven't heard a name so far that we both love. The only names that are off limits are ones ending in "ER" our last name also ends in "ER" so it would be too much rhyming!

We would love for his Middle name to be "Henry".

Please help us find a name!!

Thank you Laure for all of your suggestions, I really like Bennett.

Some other names my husband and I have talked have been Davis, Smith, Nash (not purposefully one  syllable!)

Here are some surname names that have come up recently - on the board or elsewhere: Anderson, Brooks, Campbell, Davis, Finnigan, Gray, Jones, Lawson, Lennon, Montgomery, Stanford, Thane, Thurman, Washington..

I would suggest eliminating names that end in "son" as I find Harrison and Anderson/Jefferson/Watson is too much of same ending.

A lot of names regarded as 'first names' came from surnames, so I limited my suggestions to names that would still be regarded as surnames today (ex: left out names like Carson that are well known fn at this point). Hth!

I agree with tossing out names ending in "son" there is too much matching there too! I really Like Brooks!

My eldest is Harrison, so I should commend you on your choice of name!

Our second son is Owen and if we are lucky enough to have a third, he will most likely be Gordon (my grandfather's name).

I like the above suggestion of looking at surnames that are also in use as traditional first names, which might provide some inspiration. Perhaps James, Edward/Edmund, or Charles/Charlie? I want to say George, but that goes wih Harrison a little too well!
