Names by Month

My husband and I have been ttc for a while now but I have been naming future children for almost as long as I can remember.

I had an idea the other day and I thought it would be fun to pick one boy and one girl name from my favorites list for each month.

For example, I have always loved the name Juniper but can't imagine using it in most months.  I do think that it would be perfect for a December baby.  Or using a variation of my grandmother's name in January (the month she was born).

I am blanking on some months and I thought I would see if anyone else had ever tried this game :)

I definitely see what you're getting at with this game; I do the same thing. Most of these are guilty pleasure names for that reason - I would have a hard time using these names at a time of year I don't associate them with.

Winter: Aspen // Eira // Iclyn // Holly // Lumi // Noelle

Spring: Flora // Maylee

Summer: August // July

Fall: Hazel // Sage

The only problem with this system is that seasonal associations are different around the world. So for someone in the Northern hemisphere, August and July may conjure feelings of summer and the sea, but in the Southern Hemisphere they're the coldest months of the year. Christmas in Australia is usually at the 40degree mark (celsius), so personally I would never associate any of the 'wintery' names with Christmas. (I understand this is a hypothetical situation, but just something to think about)
