Need help with new baby sisters name

My daughter's name is Everlie and we are due with another girl in January.

We love the name Esme but is it too similar to Everlie?

The other name we have on the list is Rowan.

Thanks in advance for advice or comments!

I don't like siblings with the same initials.  Esme and everlie  are very different in style and sound so that is ok. I prefer Rowena to rowan. Others similar to rowan, Rhiannon, Lauren, Erin, Taryn

I like Taryn as Everlie's sisters' name. But of the two you picked I would go Rowan.

Everlie and Rowan go nicely together in my opinion although Everlie is fairly girly and Rowan more unisex. I like Esme as a name and pronounced Ez-may I don’t find it too similar to Everlie. Pronounced Ez-mee, it‘s getting too close for me.

I agree that the pronunciation matters. I don't think the repeating first initial is an issue at all. Unless you use it a third time because that makes it a pattern.

And as far as other options, I would consider Livia or Lydia. I like Livia because there's a subtle pattern to the names. Everlie is headless Beverly and Livia is headless Olivia.
