Need opinions please

We are having I tough time making our final decision on names. Would like opinions and suggestions please.

For the baby girl:

It is a tradition in my family to pass down the middle name Jane so we have come up with three names that we agree on but can't choose one. They are as followed

Cora Jane

Malia (MA-leah) Jane

Kayla Jane

But then I also said if we can't choose and hopefully it doesn't make anyone upset to forget the tradition and use both grandmothers middle names and go with

Jane Elizabeth

For the boy:

Jason or Jayson David

Steven David

Seth David

Nathan David

Please tell me what you think

Why not Elizabeth Jane?  That would be my preference.  Cora Jane would be my runner-up.

Jason (not Jayson), Steven, Seth, and Nathan would all work just fine with David IMO.

My fault I missed typed about the grandmothers middle names. Father's mother name is Elizabeth Ann and mine is Bonnie Jane. I didn't like the sound of Ann Jane or Jane Ann so was going with Jane Elizabeth and not Elizabeth Jane to avoid two Elizabeths.

Cora Jane is my favorite, followed by Jane Elizabeth.  However, since the tradition seems important to you, I think Elizabeth Jane would be fine to use.  Elizabeth offers enough nicknames that they wouldn't both have to go by the same call name.  You could also do something like Eliza Jane as the given name if you wanted.

Malia & Kayla both seem very trendy at the moment, which makes me like them less.  Of the 2, I would choose Malia over Kayla.

From your boy names I like Jason David (that spelling, I don't care for Jayson at all) and Steven David the best.

Cora Jane would be my pick, Malia just isn't my style and Kayla is nice but I also just don't like it very much. Jane Elizabeth doesn't really flow well so I would use Elizabeth Jane instead.

Have you thought about using Anna Jane? It flows better than Ann Jane and you can use Ann as a nickname for Anna?

For the boy Nathan is the best, Jason spelled this way is not my style but okay and Seth and Steven I wouldn't use.

First, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these names. They are all very nice. Second, my husband and I agree on a short list (top 3) of names and then wait to see what fits when baby is born. Perhaps that would work for you?

Of your list my favorites are Cora, Malia, Nathan and Seth.

Cora Jane was my favorite at first reading, but I love the idea of using Elizabeth with a nickname.  Eliza Jane is adorable! It reminds me of the American folk song "Little Liza Jane."  I love it.

Any of your boy names sound good with David, but I'd stick with the Jason spelling over Jayson.

Good luck!

I like Cora Jane best, then Kayla Jane.

Instead of Elizabeth Jane, what about Eliza Jane?

For boys I like Jason David, then Nathan David.

I vote for Elizabeth Jane. Love the name; tons of nn possibilities. I'd put Jane Elizabeth 2nd, but given your tradition, I'll go for Cora, then Malia, then Kayla.

For me the first two choices are very far out in front of the second two.

All the boys' names are fine; I've just not ever personally loved Nathan, and I grew up with so many Stevens and Jasons that they are firmly the names of 40 something year old men for me. By default, I'll go with Seth. It has an imperfect flow with David, but that is a small matter, and it's a fine name. Objectively, they all are.

I also think Eliza Jane was the name of Laura's sister in law on Little House On the Prairie. Not a vote against it-just putting it out there. I do love it, though my personal fav nn for Elizabeth is Liddy.
