Nicknames for Henry and Benjamim

Hello, all! I’m nearing the end of my first trimester and my husband and I just decided not to find out the sex of the baby this time, so we need to pick a boy name and a girl name.

We will be using Benjamim as either the first or middle after a relative who passed away recently. Meanwhile my husband has always wanted to use Henry, and I’d like to do that as I got the last two picks.

My problem is that while I don’t dislike either name, I don’t love them either. Our family typically does nicknames (we have a Will and a Tommy already, for example). So what do you guys think about the nicknames for Henry and Benjamin? Which are cutest? Which would you NOT use? Are there any I haven’t thought of? The only one we can’t really use is Harry (clashes with our last name).

Benjamin and Henry are great names, I have to think of NN, Ben, Benny, Benji, can't think of any for Henry at the moment

Henry -

Harry, Hank, Hal, Henk, Hen(ny), foreign forms like Enric or Heiko

Benjamin -

Ben(ny), Benji, Jamie, Benno... Banks, Banjo, Bing, Jem, Bim, Jamin?

These are two names that I find handsome in full (especially Benjamin - swoon) but I'm not especially enamored of the nickname options for either.

I prefer Henry to Benjamin, so Henry Benjamin gets my vote. For a nickname, I love Hank and think it would work well with your other kids’ nicknames.

I've always been partial to Hal for Henry, probably because of Prince Hal in Shakespeare's Henry IV. My SIL thought that Henry was unnicknameable, but my nephew is now usually Henny, which I also find adorable.

Congratulations! I like Henry Benjamin... but while thinking of nicknames, I thought of "Benny and Henny", which is cute but might get confusing after a while!
