Please PRAY STILL! Huge announcement

Hello everybody,

I know this forum is for posts full of love and happiness, but I really want to update you!

So, as you know my sister gave birth to quads on 24th November. They were all feeling well and they were all healthy in first week after they were born. But, during 2nd week after their birth, the health condition of two girls has worsened considerably. Precious Esme Belle who was the smallest one on birth, got a heart failure and her heart stopped for whole 3 minutes. That was the worst time of our lives. We prayed a lot, but doctors said there's only 20% chance of recovery. She had operation, and thankfully everything went fine. But her heart still has potential of coming back to stage before operation, which is horrible. On the other hand, I have to announce that we lost our beautiful precious Lizabeth Claire. She was so brave, but she lost her fight on 14 December. She died of SIDS - sudden infant death syndrome. They tried to reanimate her but unsuccessfully. She didn't even celebrate 1 month with her sissy's. And I can't even describe you how these babies are feeling that her sister is no longer with them. Especially Sara is the one who cries a lot, she was her twin, they are all feeling that. That is trully a miracle. We still can't believe this all happened, I just wanted to update you because I want to tell you, you never know what can happen. In one moment everything is fine and well and just the other moment you don't know what to do because you are going through the nightmare. We were looking at our niece/daughter and we knew that she was brave, and then they said to us that we lost her. I want to tell you when you're having multiples (twins/triplets/quadruplets...) this is really high risk pregnancy. It's even risk when you are pregnant with one child! You have to have faith in God! Pray, pray and pray! We prayed and we believe that he chose the right place for her. Please guys, pray for Esme, Julie and Sara. They are now fine thankfully, but we're still praying for them.  I believe Lizzy is now watching them and praying for them.

Thanks again for your support! You'll be updated.

Sara M.S.

Your post got me musing on the strangeness of life. Sometimes it never rains but it pours. Isn't it weird how coincidences pile up sometimes? I mean, you just had twin girls yourself, and at almost the same time, your sister had quad girls (one of whom is now tragically in heaven). And your brother's wife is expecting twins as well.

What you said about having faith in God really resonated with me. There are certainly some things in life that require a whole lot of faith, and sometimes one's faith is tested beyond the breaking point.

In this difficult time I hope your sister remembers how special she is. There are only about 3500 sets of quads worldwide, and for a brief but oh-so-precious time, one of them was hers.

Holey, thanks for your support so much! This made me cry!

We were all so happy when we found out we are going to have 8 kids in almost same time, it's just few months difference between them. We were happy that they will be same-age siblings. And as you said it was just coincidence. Most people said we all had a deal, but oh God, no way. My sister is going through a hard time, so are we. But she is trying to be brave. She doesn't want to sleep at her home because she thinks something will happen to Esme, Julie and Sara if she is not around them. Thank you Holey for your support, we are still praying. If everything goes well, they will left the hospital in second half of January/early February. You'll be updated. Thanks again, this really means a lot (Knowing that somewhere are people who are kind and supporting us)! Thanks!

continued prayers for your sister and her precious little girls.   Has your sister had a counsellor or pastor to talk too,  hugs to her and lots of love

There's a team of psychologist and psychiatrist who help her get through all this, but her psyche is okay, she just needs someone to talk to. She talks to them once a week. She has us, and right now she just wants me to be with her, probably because I'm an older sister.  Thank you Suzanne for your prayers and support. Esme, Julie and Sara are fine, right now.

Thanks again!

Hi everybody!

This is just a quick update. Esme, Julie and Sara are doing amazing, they are feeling very well, thankfully! Nothing bad happened after that terrible news when we lost our Lizabeth. We are still in shock and we are still sad, but we are happy that these three girls are coming home in less then 2 weeks which is amazing!

And, my sister, she is fine, she is sad because of Lizzie but she is happy her girls will be home with her soon!

Thanks again for your support and prayers!
