Sibling for Keara Maureen

We have a daughter named Keara (pronounced Keira) Maureen. Looking for boys and girls names along the same lines. So far I like Claire, Nora, Caroline, Margaret(Maggie). For boys, we like Patrick, Ryan, Sean. We have a lot of nieces and nephews, so many names are out for boys (like Thomas, Colin, Brendan, Gavin, John, James, William, Michael) My husband is very traditional so does not like new names really at all. Any ideas?

I like all of your girls names.  If I had to rank them order for a sister named Keara, it'd be Nora, Margaret(Maggie), Caroline & Claire.  Some other suggestions-Fiona, Lucy, Bridget, Molly, Sarah(Sadie), Megan, Cora

I also quite like your boy names.  In order, I'd say Patrick, Sean & Ryan.    Some other suggestions for boys are Owen, Ian, Rory, Rowan, Declan, Quinn & Evan

So it's a boy! My husband is Patrick so we are thinking about using that. Only thing is I am Patricia, but people call me Tricia, so don't know if that's too many Pats.

Thanks for your input.

Our last name is Holian so Owen, Rowan, and Ian are a little much.

My husband vetoed Declan, Evan and Quinn.

I feel like I keep circling around the same names.

How much confusion is there because you & your husband are named Patricia & Patrick?  If that doesn't cause problems and you are known only by Tricia, I don't think it would be a huge issue.

Would your son and husband both be called Pat?  I think that would bother me, especially having to do the "Big Pat" and "Little Pat" type thing, even when Little Pat is grown.  If you don't use a nickname for your son I think Pat, Tricia and Patrick would be fine.  Of course, you could always move Patrick to the middle position if you are concerned it will be problematic.

The younger brother of one of my good friends has a son named Patrick, called Trick.  It's freakin' adorable on a little boy.

Use Ricky as the first name!  I love it, not Richard or Patrick, Ricky.. I think it's warm and it's so cute on a baby/child but also is masculine as he ages

If you are called Tricia and your husband Pat or Patrick then how about Rick as a nn for junior?

I think it would be really cool to name him after BOTH of you - since you are a Trish and there are many nn's as others have mentioned. My only concern would be your daughter - not named after mom and dad? She probably won't care, but it's a thought. Maybe her name(s) is/are from family?

Thanks for all the input. We are STILL undecided about this. Patrick, Sean and Ryan are the frontrunners. For a while, we were going with John Paul, and calling him Jack. However, my nephew is 6, named John Patrick and called JP and John Patrick. My husband isnt bothered by this, but it bothers me because they have the same last name. We have so many boys in our family and we are so traditional, it is so hard to not overlap! 6 wks to make a decision.

I had the same thought, about your daughter, with all of you will Pat names, would she feel left out?

Also, I really love Sean, as a first or middle. It has such a nice Irish sound that fits in well with your daughter's name.
